Observation notes: Noticed two together on the maypop next to a Concord grape vine. One flew off before I got my phone to take pics. Looked freshly emerged to me and I think you can see the proboscis isn’t fused together yet. Seeing one today nectaring on sedum (7/14) reminded me I had this picture unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to take a pic today as my phone was inside and when I came back out it was gone.
