Observation notes: Insect was resting in gravel driveway. Celastrina ladon forma lucia was prevalent earlier in the season. This individual's markings appear slightly thicker and darker than other Celastrina neglecta I have seen in the area.

Coordinator notes: This is a second brood C. lucia, which closely resembles C. neglecta. Note the checkered fringes on the hindwing, which is a characteristic of C. lucia.
