Observation notes: I apologize if this isn't even a moth; this is one of the strangest things I've ever seen. But when I poked the leaf with a stick it ended up flying, similar to a moth, and it appeared to be a moth in flight. I saw orange/color in flight. But I couldn't get a photo of it in flight and when it landed it always looked like this / looked very strange. I don't even see any antennae, and in the first pic at least, I was hard-pressed to figure out what body parts I was seeing, other than two legs. So I don't know. I looked through quite a few of the moth photos on this site for Cumberland County and never saw anything like this.
