Observation notes: Moth was fluttering over lavender flowers in front yard, then landed vertically on white garage door, with wings folded over body, and antennae tucked down along thorax. Cool in the shade, morning temperature about 62 degrees. Body length about 1 inch; width about 0.5 inch.
