Observation notes: The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail nectared at our butterfly bush for about 10 minutes. The weather was hot (in the 90s) and windy (15-20 mph).

Coordinator notes: After much thought, I agree this is P. glaucus. The problem is that Randall County is on the fringe of the range of both sp., although a bit closer to the westernmost range of P. glaucus than to the easternmost range of P. rutulus. Also, I'm unused to seeing the non-melanistic female P. glaucus in Texas, although that may not be true on the western fringe of its range. That said, the HW looks like glaucus and not rutulus. So there it is. Other coordinators may have something to say about this.
