Coordinator notes: Hi - thanks for the feedback - it's always appreciated! - but I'm going to let this stand. MPG shows a photo by Stuart Schwartz of the 2nd and 3rd instars of H. cecropia; the 2nd instar is, indeed, yellow. I originally thought this might possibly be the introduced sp. Samia cynthia, but they seem to feed only on Tree of Heaven (common in these parts, sure). H. cecropia definitely feed on apple.
