Wild Indigo Duskywing
Erynnis baptisiae

Observation date: August 16, 2023
Submitted by: Cascade Colors
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: In one of the notes you left me you stated the Wild Indigo has two rows of very small uniform spots on the hindwing ,and this individual seemed to have that. It also seems darker on the above forewing. But, I'm not sure if the light fringes would rule out Wild Indigo.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: I agree with Wild Indigo Dustywing. Can look like E. juvenalis or E. funeralis concerning the forewings. E. juvenalis does not have the uniformly placed faint spots on hind wings and E. funeralis has a nice white edge on hind wings. Thank you! JAMES STEEN
