Observation notes: A small cluster of males and at least one female flying around and landing on a Buckwheat plant in flower, mostly very close to the ground. Adjacent to a narrow, unimproved, horse-accessible trail. Terrain is hilly. Weather was mostly sunny and warm, with high puffy clouds. Other butterflies in the area include Behr's Metalmarks and possibly Marine Blues.
