Observation notes: Moth was located on my kitchen stove first thing in the morning. Had likely flown in the previous evening. Temps are over 100 degrees right now with minimal rain for weeks. No plants in house other than small succulents.
Moth was not moving, but when I scooted it into a cup to transfer outdoors, it did walk into the cup. I placed it under a bush in the shade, and it moved only minimally and did not immediately fly away.
