Observation notes: Near Notch Mountain in the White River National Forest. Partly cloudy day in the 70’s F with breezes and between 9-10K feet elevation.

Coordinator notes: At the altitude you show, the Purplish-Copper at that level in the Colorado mountains is Lycaena florus, The Mountain Copper but this name is not presently on the BAMONA species list. The host plant is Blueberry (Vaccinium). Lycaena dorcas does not occur in Colorado but is more northern in southern Canada and the upper Midwest states and northward on east. Mike
