Observation notes: Discovered on a clear, sunny day, crawling across the sidewalk near one of the restrooms located in a partly wooded area of the North Carolina Zoo. With the exception of a few landscaped plants, grasses, and small trees - like Chinese elm and honey locust - the surrounding trees in this area are primarily various mature oaks.
