Date notes: Late August
Submitted by: Deborah Paulsen
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Reared from a caterpillar. My neighbor also has 11 or so Monarch caterpillars that are now in chrysalis.
Status: Resident
Verified by: Ken Davenport
Verified date: September 07, 2023
Coordinator notes: It is interesting that Monarchs are now breeding in the winter and being reared successfully though some would outlaw rearing by private citizens. Monarchs are regular in the southern Sierra right now-Ken Davenport
