Observation notes: This mating pair was photographed as they landed in tandem on various vegetation, along a narrow strip of beach between Crescent Beach Road and the calm waters of Ship Bay. Temperature was about 66 degrees F, warm in the sun, & no breeze. This pair were the only butterflies we saw at the beach.
