Coordinator notes: This appears to be a female P. pilyxenes rudkini and not an Anise Swallowtail based on the shape of the spot band ocellate and not rectangular and the thick HW borders and polyxenes spots on the abdomen. These sometimes stray into LA County from the eastern Mojave Desert or Colorado Desert...Ken Davenport
