Observation notes: On Buckwheat getting a drink of nectar, this is the only Purplish copper that I have ever seen in the Borrego Valley or Vallecito Valley part of Anza Borrego Desert State park. Box Canyon. Very warm sunny day light breeze off and on. High 80's to low 90's Still some nectar here and there. Still several species tucked away in canyons near nectar.
