Montana Six-plume Moth
Alucita montana

Observation date: December 05, 2023
Date notes: We have seen a half dozen of these little guys over the past two months in our house. They begun to show up before we brought in the Christmas tree. Where are they coming from? The flowering plants have been gone for three months? I put sugar water in a saucer on the table. How are they surviving?

Coordinator notes: I live in Sheridan, WY and have also had these moths show up in my house in winter. I'm not sure where they come from. Some moths crawl under and between things to "hibernate" for the winter. It may be they just find there way inside and think it's spring.
