Observation notes: Looks like it was trying to mate by a stream. There was another similar looking butterfly and they were chasing each other. Very cute. Also not super scared of all the people walking by which was very surprising. When I started the hike, it was there. Came back to the beginning two hours later… still there. Very sunny out. Maybe 80F at the time. Pasadena area Eaton Canyon.
