Observation date: March 30, 2024
Submitted by: Varn
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Mixed lowland forest Douglas fir, red cedar, Sitka spruce, red alder, big leaf maple and varied understory lots of sword fern, & salal. Day flying moths were present in large numbers, appear to be same species. They were very active. This was one of a hundred or so that I saw, and one of the few that landed long enough for a good look. Moths were all about 1/2" long with 3/4" resting (as in photo) wing span.
