Observation notes: One Mourning Cloak was observed flying near an Aspen grove, not far from the entryway to Shevlin Park, Bend, Oregon. It landed briefly on a dirt/gravel pathway leading to Tumelo Creek. It was a warm, sunny day, with temperatures in the low 70's degree F. (Photo by Ron Larson)
