Date notes: Thought this was a leaf at first and then realized it was a moth. Its wings are about 3 1/2 inches long. Can’t tell wingspan because it hasn’t opened them.

Observation notes: This moth was on a covered porch following a night of bad storms and high winds. It was on a support beam. Not sure how long it had been there but it didn’t stay long after I first saw it.
