Coordinator notes: I hedge with this ID as well. Historically, this would have been more easily labeled as a true "Spring Azure," however the waters have become more muddies as of recently. NABA still recognizes only a "Spring" and "Summer" Azure, however we know this is incorrect and there are actually a number of different species in the "Azure Complex." These are classically labeled as "Holarctic Azures" on iNat. There haven't been any studies (that I'm aware of) as of yet in WI, but based on a large study from Ontario, it's possible you have a true Spring or a Northern Azure here based on its darker, dusky appearance. If any new information comes around, I'll keep circling back to these sightings and updating accordingly. -jmgesell
