Observation date: May 24, 2024

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Many individuals today in this location seemed to exhibit both canadensis and glaucus characteristics. For example, this one seems to have a nearly connected yellow band on the ventral submarginal FW, the ventral HW submarginal crescents are more "boxy" appearing, and the dark line at yellow/blue transition on the ventral HW is pretty straight. However, the dark line along the HW anal margin seems too narrow for canadensis. Seems too early for the "midsummer" canadensis x glaucus variety commonly seen here.

Coordinator notes: The dark line along the HW anal margin is obscure in the photo. It lies over the back in this individual.
