Bernardino Dotted-Blue
Euphilotes bernardino

Observation date: May 26, 2024
Submitted by: Zencoyote
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This tiny and quick flier was hard to follow, flying back and forth along a stretch of trail, but eventually landing on some Buckwheat branches - all very close to the ground. Once landed it would not open its wings, but was fairly easy to identify given its size, the orange markings and the metallic sheen of its outer wings. Weather was mild, partly cloudy/mostly sunny.
