Observation notes: These Elfins were landing at the end of fir branches, with wings held together. They were fairly numerous in open sunny areas (between the road and the forest), with some of them in pairs - swirling around each other for several minutes, about 4-5 feet above the ground. Weather was very warm (low 70 degrees F) and sunny.
