Observation notes: Clear, light winds and 71 degrees. 2448 ft, TV Tower road, West Cuesta Ridge, 2.5 road miles north-west of the road to the first TV towers, This is at the very last northerly Sargent cypress trees on the ridge. There were no nectaring flowers in the whole mass of cypress, but only at this very north-west end. There were at least three there. Nectaring on wooly sunflowers only.

Coordinator notes: Great record that confirms they still occur there, as many have failed to find it there (me included) since a fire several years ago. Genomics seem to indicate these are allied to Callophrys nelsoni, but this is controversial. Muiri is a species further north in California.-Ken Davenport
