Observation notes: 5-10 group of them each flight takes a few minutes on a hillside not stopping but touching plants (not flowers) then taking short rests on dry foxtail. Unlike most other butterflies I ran into in the bay area, this one is very sensitive to human getting close thus not easy to get a closeup shot.
