Observation date: June 09, 2024
Submitted by: Zencoyote
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Initially, saw a single Monarch flying in a riparian area the trail went passed, which as I watched, flew into a cluster of three other butterflies. All three of the other individuals turned out to be Queens. Two of these came to land near the trail and I was able to get fairly close for imaging. Day was partly cloudy (breaking "June-Gloom"), with air temps near 70, and very minor breeze.
