Observation notes: Feeding on blossom of a domestic rose (Genus Rosa) at dusk during 70°F clear day. The caterpillar froze on the branch when found. It has the obvious appearance of a hawkmoth caterpillar. Unfortunately, when I returned to collect for raising, the caterpillar had moved away.
