Coordinator notes: Subsequent to my hasty eurymedon ID, the submitter advised me as follows "My original camera image was too large (It exceeded 8 mp), so in order to be able to Upload an image that fit, I photographed my computer screen and then uploaded the resulting iPhone image which was accepted. I did notice however that the iPhone image was noticeably paler (less yellow) than the original camera image or the butterfly in the field. So I’m wondering if the butterfly is actually a Western as I first thought rather than a Pale Swallowtail? Yes, Rene, I was fooled by the very pale ground color. but subsequent examination shows the marks to be those of Western Tiger. thanks for setting me straight!
