Observation notes: Seen in a small meadow. Between short flights, rested on the ground rather than up on plants. My record and photos are for a single individual, but while walking up VC 12 from the Garita Trailhead to the meadow, then back down the road, I saw at least a half-dozen other individuals, including two flying upward in a tight spiral. Sunny, warm, breezy.
