On June 15, 2024, I spotted this white butterfly flitting about the pair of lavender plants in the backyard garden of our house. At the time (~10:30 AM EDT), our weather was partly cloudy with a light breeze of about 4 mph from the NNW. The temperature was 78°F and rising, the dew point was 52°F and dropping, the humidity was 56% and dropping, and the air pressure was steady at 28.75 inches.
The butterfly did not sit still long enough for me to get a great photograph, but my guess is that what I have is sufficient to identify it as a small Cabbage White Butterfly (Pieris rapae).
