Date notes: Found in front of home, floating in rainwater catch basin after rain. Was able to remove from the water and set on leaf bed where it crawled away. Property supports laurel oak, pine, palmetto, and other species of trees. Found in the morning.

Observation notes: Healthy, vigorous, undamaged specimen retrieved from rainwater catch basin, lifted with a leaf. Defensive when I tried to photograph, but i would be too if I had almost drowned. Disappeared into damp leaf litter within 10 minutes.
