Observation notes: It was sitting still on my basement steps (we keep basement door open for dogs). It did not appear injured in any way. I gently guided it into my palm. It vibrated its wings, but did not fly. Once I got it outside, I tried to put it on my hanging houseplant. It then flew off my palm and I think into my evergreen tree.
