Observation notes: Only this one Monarch was seen among many butterfly species swarming a small clump of Narrowleaf Milkweed plants growing on a rocky bluff above Gerber Reservoir, at the edge of Gerber South Campground (elevation 4,844 feet). This Monarch female was laying eggs, as well as feeding on the milkweed. Weather was breezy, warm, and sunny.
