Coordinator notes: Your Silver-Spotted Skipper is very rare in southern California. Now the Silver-Spotted Skipper is 2 species...the one in southern Nevada and New Mexico and Arizona is the Huachuca Silver-Spotted Skipper. The one in California is still the same as the eastern variety (species) although a different subspecies. As for Wandering Skippers, all mine were collected in 1979....since then, they are all on coastal preserves.-Ken Davenport
