Observation notes: I observed this butterfly on my early morning walk in Elk Grove Regional Park. The temperature was approximately in the range of 65 to 68 degrees. The butterfly appeared to be moving very slowly. It may have been on its last few days or hours of its short (6 - 14 days) lifespan.
