Observation notes: Sunny, slight breeze, temp in low 70s F, ~8,765 ft elevation. New one for me and what a surprise! This tattered individual has had quite an adventure for sure! The iridescent blue in flight was really eye-catching and the fluttering while it was feeding on knapweed created a twinkling effect at just the right angle in the sun. Only one seen.
