Observation notes: Hundreds of individuals associated with the grassy expanses, and seen flying or feeding along a 2km stretch of the Los Penasquitos trail. Seen with other butterflies feeding on Buckwheat, Heliotrope, Doveweed, and other nectar-producing plants growing in isolated tufts in the grasses.
