Spotted this pair of what I believe was a couple of Giant Swallowtail Butterflies this afternoon fluttering about some of our Coneflowers. One appeared to be trying to nectar while the other was possibly trying (unsuccessfully) to mate.
At 4:10 PM it was 92°F, the dew point was 63°F, the humidity was 37%, there was a brisk (and occasionally gusty) wind blowing from the west at about 17 mph, and the air pressure was 28.47 inches under partly cloudy skies.
