Observation notes: Near McGill Camp Trail on North face of Mt Pinos. On Sulphur Buckwheat. Large patches of these on the slope. Partly cloudy day in the 70’s F. 7000+ feet elevation. No more Sulphur Buckwheat associated Blues in the area but quite a few of these Metalmarks up and down the Sulphur Buckwheat patches.

Coordinator notes: Authorities differ on a subspecies name in this area...nomnate cythera or subspecies arenaria. DNA showed the name tuolumnensis outside Yosemite does not apply.-Ken Davenport
