Observation notes: Broad subalpine seepage meadow at base of Galloping Mountain. This species was common especially at the higher elevations right up to the summit at 2200 metres. I drove from West Kelowna through Vernon then east on Hwy 6 to the access road to Mount Scaia then up a very steep rough road to the summit. Intended to stay at the top for a couple nights but it was brutally hot - approaching 40C at the base.
