Observation date: July 24, 2024

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I moved our garbage bin to the curb away from our house, and this beautiful creature flew out from behind it. At first, I thought it was a bat because of the way his wings moved. Once it landed, I took this picture. His wings look a little bit damaged. He’s mostly brown. His body is almost the size of a hummingbird. His wingspan is maybe six or seven inches wide.
