Observation notes: Photographed nectaring on Indian Paintbrush and other wildflowers on just off USFS Road 1150 on Green Ridge near Sisters, Oregon. Warm, clear day at an elevation of 3,800 feet. I thought it was early for checkerspots which don't usually fly here until June.
