Observation notes: I have lights on at all times and am now stranger to moths coming in. I didn't know what this one was though because although it seemed like a moth, its wings were folded tightly to its back and it was hanging from the ceiling at any angle, making a shadow that looked twice its size. It crawled across my ceiling as I slept and was in a different part of my ceiling when I woke up. While I was outside of my room, the moth made its way across my room again, this time above the other half of my bed and fell when I sat down. I grabbed a bit of paper and laid it on top of it on hopes of keeping it still. It showed its speed once covered and peaked out from under it allowing me to see its face for a moment which definitely looked like a moth. Because of how its wings are folded, it looks like a sliver of deck wood after its rained. Its tail end looks like tasles between its wings. Because of the lack of wing spreading, I was still unsure about the type. But I looked at a sitings map and saw that one of my neighbors had submitted a sitings report of it. I'm not sure how recently, but as it is a species previously confirmed so nearby, I thought it was worth reporting.
