Observation notes: At least three butterflies patrolling and nectaring an area along the road at Marys Peak. Roadside habitat. Mixed conifer and deciduous forest with grassy, open edges along the road. Granite cliff, small stream and waterfall as well as mossy seeps along the rock wall. Understory of native perennials and shrubs. Bright sun in the morning, shade in late afternoon.
