"Separating these two species is tricky. The easiest way to separate them is by examination of the male antennal setae. This cannot be done with females. There is a noticeable difference is forewing coloration between the two species, but a large series of specimens is necessary to spot this. This is a temporary holding page for subgothica/tricosa images until I can examine them more closely and sort them according to series of identified specimens I have collected." -Kyhl Austin
