Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Hot and humid for this time of day. This butterfly was bumbling aimlessly along the side of a building, past shrubs, grass, gardens.
When the wings were together, the butterfly's profile was about one inch across, maybe a little larger.

Coordinator notes: This is a female of species. You asked what other whites you might find in eastern TN. In your area besides this record, species of various sizes in white would be: Anthocharis midea, Euchloe olympia, Pieris virginiensis, Pontia protodice, white female forms of both Colias eurytheme & Colias philodice, some females of Pyrisitia lisa. Thanks, JAMES STEEN
