Observation notes: On September 23 (Monday), I noticed a nearly constant flow of butterflies flying past the house from the West to the East at a height of a couple feet to just above tree level. I was unable to image or get a close enough look at them to make an identification. I was able to determine that there was a mixture of brown/orange and yellow butterflies. This flow of butterflies was repeated on Tuesday and didn't end until sometime Wednesday the 25th. On Wednesday morning (September 25) I found several places where the brown/orange butterflies gathered in number on an oak tree and I was able to get some images.
