Orange Sulphur
Colias eurytheme

Observation date: October 25, 2024
Submitted by: Cheri Pierce
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: None.
Status: Resident
Verified by: James Steen
Verified date: October 25, 2024
Coordinator notes: This is a male C. eurytheme. Distinguishable compared to the Dogface by the more rounded forewing tip, dark spots on hind wing border area and dark eye spot on forewing is smaller than in Zerene cesonia. As you become more familiar, talking about myself as well for over 4 decades, the general appearance is very male C. eurytheme but the Southern Dogface of course occurs in your area. Thanks, JAMES STEEN
