Observation notes: Early morning. Observed a few on summit ridge basking on rocks.

Coordinator notes: I accept these as Euphydryas editha tahoensis based on that is what is reported from that location in the original description in the Systematics book and based on abdominal spots. But I also note the pointed forewings seem more like Euphydryas chalcedona sierra or Euphydryas anicia wheeleri. It might be a good idea to have Nick Grishin check the genomics on some of these.-Ken Davenport I have no experience with tahoensis, I do with sierra, irelandi and wheeleri.
